• EpiKine Eye-drop promotes healing of the surface of the eye and outcomes in refractive surgery

  • OptiKine Implant treats inflammatory eye diseases such as Diabetic Macular Edema and Uveitis

  • AngioKine Implant treats degenerative eye diseases such as Age- Related Macular Degeneration

Corneal Healing

A topical eye drop which delivers biologics to the surface of the eye.
Medical Use:

  • Treatment of corneal Ulcers
  • Treatment of corneal trauma
  • Treatment of inflammation secondary to infection

Post-Surgical Use:

  • Improves outcomes & predictability of Laser Vision Correction (LVC): LASIK, PRK, & related procedures
  • Enhances epi-LASIK surface LVC results
  • Improves corneal transplant outcomes

Animal testing at VEIC has shown a reduction in post-PRK haze, reduced forward scattering, improved epithelial-stromal interface quality, and reduced keratocyte activation.

Inflammatory Eeye Diseases

A resorbable implant that delivers biologics to the interior of the eye for an extended period, to replace currently used steroids and immunosuppressants. OptiKine uses biologics already proven effective for uveitis and diabetic macular edema – but delivered internally to the eye in a sustained release format allowing lower dosages, dramatically reducing side effects, and cost. It can be administered locally, by the diagnosing ophthalmologist, without the delay of referral. This enhances patient care and significantly reduces procedure costs.

Degenerative Eye Diseases

A bioerodable implant that delivers small molecules to the interior of the eye for an extended period. The single injectable implant provides sustained release for about 6 months. Targeted at both wet AMD (5% to 10%) and dry AMD (the majority of cases), and the proliferative diabetic eye diseases, AngioKine is a next-generation intervention targeting the most serious blinding eye diseases endemic to the population.
