He has decades of experience in obtaining patents and in negotiating licensing agreements. He holds many patents for ophthalmic implants and surgical tools. His teams have developed treatments for refractive errors, glaucoma, presbyopia, and other diseases of the eye.
Senior Marketing Advisor. Philip M. Buscemi, OD, is an eye care clinician and product designer. He has extensive successful experience in establishing Marketing/Sales programs for ophthalmologists. He has served as a consultant to Allergan Pharmaceuticals, American Hydron, Bausch and Lomb, Innotech, CIBA, Oasis, EyeSys, Tomey Technologies, Nidek, and others.
Senior Business Development Advisor. Jerry Seelig, has helped numerous biotechnology and health care start up companies grow rapidly. He has broad experience raising capital, establishing strategic and technological alliances and driving strategic growth. Previously, he was a senior advisor to INGLEWOOD Ventures, an early stage biotech/medical venture fund in San Diego, and has also served on a wide variety of corporate, not for profit and foundation boards of directors.
Senior Technology Advisor. Dr. Michael D. Amos is the Biosciences Advisor to the Director of the Chemical Science and Technology Laboratory, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) He was also a founder of two biotechnology companies, and was a Program Manager at the Advanced Technology Program (ATP). At ATP, he managed projects on stem cells, nanotechnology, immunotherapeutics, cancer vaccines, neurobiology, protein therapeutics, drug discovery, gene therapy, metabolic engineering, and medical devices.

James Rosenbaum, MD, currently heads the Uveitis Clinic of the Casey Eye Institute and is the director of Inflammatory Research at Oregon Hospital and Science University (OHSU). Dr. Rosenbaum is the Division Chief of Arthritis and Rheumatic Diseases. Dr. Rosenbaum’s work in ocular inflammation is substantial and is the scientific basis for TheraKine’s inflammatory eye disease implant.
Stephen Foster, MD, created the Ocular Immunology and Uveitis Service at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in 1980, and began the Uveitis and Ocular Immunology Fellowship in 1984. Dr. Foster continues to direct a research laboratory at the Massachusetts Eye Research and Surgery Institute (MERSI), through the support of his newly created research foundation, The Ocular Immunology and Uveitis Foundation. He is also a Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School.
Gary Holland, MD, is the Vernon O. Underwood Family Professor of Ophthalmology, Chief Corneal and Uveitis Division Director at the Ocular Inflammatory Disease Center of the Jules Stein Eye Institute of UCLA Medical School. His areas of research are AIDS-related diseases of the eye and serum markers for uveitis. Dr. Holland has been Principal Investigator for numerous ophthalmology clinical studies.
